PRODUCT UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT: Change to pVault® Release Schedule

Effective with the 2025.0.X.0 release in Q1 of 2025, software update releases for pVault® will shift from weekly to our new, streamlined schedule of once a month, on the second Tuesday of each month.

What to consider before updating:

There are two types of software update releases: major releases and maintenance releases.

· Major releases typically occur two times per year and include new features or enhancements. Major releases also include fixes for defects (or “bugs”) from the maintenance releases throughout the year.

If your organization implements only the major releases throughout the year, you will get all the enhancements, features, or bug fixes. You won’t miss out on anything.

We recommend that you implement major releases as they are available.

· Maintenance releases previously happened weekly; with this release, maintenance releases will happen on the second Tuesday of each month.

Maintenance releases typically contain fixes for defects that have been reported by customers or other users.

While we don’t expect every customer to implement every maintenance release, it is important to review the Release Notes for every maintenance release to determine whether implementing the release will have an impact on your installation.

Note: Defects may affect all pVault® users or only a subset.
